Why set up an otel.com membership account? |
|
|
Making a reservation on otel.com requires that you first set up a site membership account. Membership is free, and you do not have to make a reservation to become a member. Membership allows you to review your reservations, save recent searches, and submit reviews of hotels you have stayed at. It also allows you to earn FivePlus credits with each stay and to be notified of special deals and promotions most likely to be of interest to you. |

How to obtain an otel.com membership account |
|
|
1. From any page, click the Sign up for an otel.com account tab at the top of the page and provide all the requested information.
OR
2. When making a reservation otel.com for the first time, go to the new New Member registration area and follow the instructions provided. |

How to log-in to your membership account |
|
|
To log-in to your otel.com account, click the My Account link at the top of any page. You will then be asked to enter your Member ID (the e-mail address used to set up the account) and your password. |

| SEARCHING FOR AVAILABLE HOTELS |
|
|
Quick Search |
|
|
1. From the homepage, select the country in which your destination is located. A list of cities in which properties are available will then automatically display in the "City" drop-down menu.
2. Select your city from the "City" drop-down menu.
3. Select your check-in date using either the drop-down boxes or the calendar icon provided.
4. Select the number of nights you wish to stay using the drop-down box provided.
5. Select the room type.
6. Once you have selected all your criteria, click the Search button. A list of hotels matching your criteria will appear. |

Advanced Search |
|
|
To select your hotel using more criteria than those provided by the Quick Search, click either the More Search Options link below the search box or the Find Hotels tab at the top.
In addition to those criteria provided by the Quick Search, the Advanced Search function allows to refine your search using the following additional criteria:
Hotel name: Use the box provided to enter the name of a hotel for which you wish to check availability.
Amenities: Use the check boxes provided, you may limit your search only to those hotels which provide certain amenities.
Location: Use the drop down box provided to choose the specific location or area within the city to which you wish to confine your search. |

| THE SEARCH RESULTS PAGE |

Understanding search results |
|
|
Once you have clicked the submit button on the search page, a list of available hotels matching your criteria will be displayed on the Search Results page.
For each available hotel, the Search Results page will display the following:
· Name
· Star-rating
· Location
· Brief description
· The daily average rate
· Symbols for available amenities
· Distances from major points of interest, including nearest airport
· A link to reviews of the hotel submitted by other otel.com users
· A link to a map showing the location of the hotel

What you can do from the Search Results page |
|
|
From the search results page, you can do the following:
· Sort the order in which available hotels are displayed. Using the radio buttons provided, you may sort the search results by price, by star-rating, or alphabetically by hotel name.
· See prices displayed in a different currency - use the "Currency" drop-down box at the sort box.
· See hotel details - click on the hotel's name or click the "more hotel info" link.
· Book a hotel - click the "Book It" link for the hotel you wish to book.
· Change your search - use the search box in the left margin. |

| THE HOTEL DETAILS PAGE |

Clicking a hotel's name or the "more info" link from the Search Results page will take you to the Hotel Details pages. These pages provide more in-depth information about hotels listed in the Search Results pages. The detailed hotel information provided is arranged under a number of different tabs according to category. Click any tab to get hotel information relating to each topic/category.

What you can do from the Hotel Details pages |
|
|
· Make a reservation at the hotel: Click the "Book It" button.
· Search availability for the same hotel for another set of dates: Use the "Check Availability" search box in the upper left margin.
· Get an overall description of the hotel, its facilities and its location: Click the Summary tab at the top of any Hotel Details page.
· Get information on available transportation options and see the hotel's location on a map: Click the Map & Attractions tab at the top of any Hotel Details page.
· Get detailed information about the hotel and room facilities: Click the Facilities tab at the top of any Hotel Details page.
· Read other people's comments & ratings about the hotel: Click the Comments tab at the top of any Hotel Details page. |

The Hotel Summary Page |

|
This is the first Hotel Details page you will see when you click the "more info" link from the Search Results pages. This page provides an overall description of the hotel, as well as general information on location, amenities, and location. |

The Map & Attractions Page |
|
|
This page provides a general description of the hotel's area, a map showing the hotel's location, and.a listing of nearby points of interest. Important transportation-related information - including distance from the nearest airport, train station, and bus station - is also included. |

The Facilities Page |
|
|
This page provides detailed information about the hotel- including detailed location information, check-in & check-out times, hotel and room information, child policy and special meals/diatery requirements of the hotel. |

This page provides other users' comments about the hotel. You can read and/or write comments about the hotel. |

| BOOKING ACCOMODATIONS ON OTEL.COM |
|
|
Making your reservation |
|
|
1. Click the "BOOK" button from either the Search Results page or from any Hotel Details page for the hotel you wish to book.
2. Enter the information requested on the booking form. On this page you will enter guest and payment information - including credit card and cardholder information. You will also indicate any preferences or special requests on this page.
3. Click the "Continue" button at the bottom of the page. You will then be taken to the second page of the Booking Form.
4. On the second page, review the details of your reservation and read important terms and conditions applying to your reservation. Check the box indicating that you have read and agree to all provisions of the Terms and Conditions, then click Submit.
Please note that if the bank which issued your credit card is part of the Verified by Visa or MasterCard SecureCode networks, you will be taken to a user authorization page before your reservation is confirmed. You are required to enter the user authorization information requested in order to complete your reservation. |

Confirmation of your booking |
|
|
If your payment is processed successfully, you will be taken to a confirmation page displaying your reservations information and your confirmation code. You will also be provided with a link to the Pre-paid Accommodations Voucher for your reservation. Please be sure to print your voucher, as some hotels may request it at the time of check-in. |

The Prepaid Accommodations Voucher |
|
|
When your reservation is confirmed, you will be provided with a link to your Prepaid Accommodations Voucher. The voucher is a document showing that your prepaid accommodations have been booked and confirmed. We recommend that you print and keep this voucher as some hotels may ask you to present it at the time of check-in. The voucher also holds important reservations information, including your confirmation number; your hotel address and telephone number; and numbers to call in case of an emergency. |

Reviewing your reservations |

To review your reservations, click the My Account tab at the top and login to your member pages with your member ID and password. You will then see a list of all your active, pending, and cancelled reservations. |

Cancellations and changes - general information |
|

Please note that cancellations and changes can only be made as per otel.com's Cancellations and Changes Policy as put forth in our Booking Terms. |

Cancellations |

|
To cancel any reservation:
1. Click the My Account tab at the top and login to your member pages with your member ID and password. You will then see a list of all your active, pending, and canceled reservations.
2. Once your bookings are displayed, you may cancel any reservation simply by clicking the CANCEL button found in the far right section of the listing. |

Changes |

|
To change your reservation:
1. Click the My Account tab at the top and login to your member pages with your member ID and password. You will then see a list of all your active, pending, and canceled reservations.
2. Click the CHANGE button found at the bottom of the reservation listing. You will then be directed to the Change Reservations page.
3. On the Change Reservations page, change dates and/or room types to suit your new accommodation requirements.
4. If there is availability matching the changes you have made, our agents will contact you to confirm your amendment. Please note that your booking is not confirmed until our agents contact you. |
