The Best of the Best
This hotel is a must for anyone travelling to Killarney. If you visit Killarney you have to stay in The Agahdoe Heights. It is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. The views, staff, and food are out of this world & the Spa is superb. Just go there if you are looking for a piece of heaven on earth .

We visited the Aghadoe on a golf trip to the South West of Ireland. From the moment we arrived, the service was incredible. The views over castles, lakes, woods & mountains is unbelievable. We had the best meal of our trip and one of the best of my life at Fredricks restataunt in the hotel. Beautiful rooms but most of all beautiful irish staff. Michael, breeda, sivan, Jason, I could go on. My only regret is that I can't go back tomorrow.

I stayed at the aghadoe heights resort last week. The view and property is breathtaking and resembles what an American considers to be a 1st class hotel unlike many others recommended by fodors and frommers. I had a room overlooking the lake and was fortunate enough to have crystal clear days to be amazed by the breathtaking beauty of the region. I spent 11 days in Ireland and my biggest regret was spending only 3 days in Killarney at the Aghadoe. Take my word for it, this is the best hotel in Ireland. The place is just gorgeous, the concierge is wonderful, the hotel cleaning staff is by far the best in ireland and the design is truly perfection. Whats more, the location is the finest spot in Europe especially if english is your only language. The incredible beauty and wonderful touring sites including the ring, charming towns, and the state owned gardens, estates and castles in the region make it the #1 vacation spot for me. Don't walk run to your travel agent and spend at least 4 days at this hotel. Furthermore, dont spend more then 2 days in Dublin, and if you do be sure to visit the powerscourt estate and gardens 20 miles outside of dublin. It is the finest designed garden I ever seen. Much prettier then any in Paris.
Galway is by far the best of the big towns in Ireland, very cosmopolitan and deserves nearly as much time as Killarney. Dont miss the cliffs of Moher, truly the most incredible view in the world.

On Behalf on my wife and I, can I take this opportunity to thank both the staff and management of the Aghadoe Heights Hotel ---------------------------- for their hospitality. We had the pleasure of staying in the wonderful establishment on Friday the 8th of March, for 2 nights and from the moment we arrived we were treated like 'royalty'. The warmth and friendliness we were treated to, was way and above the call of duty and for that we are truly grateful. It was our first time to stay in the hotel and you can rest assure, we will be back. The highlight of the weekend was the 'feast' we were presented with on Friday night in 'Fredrick?€™s' restaurant and what a meal that was. We could only describe it as 'pleasure on a plate' and please pass on our complements to the Chef, as he is truly a 'master'

My girlfriend and I recently stayed in the Aghadoe Heights hotel for the weekend. The views from the hotel are incredible and even on the dullest of days you are astounded by the sight from your bedroom window. The staff are very helpful especially the concierge and bar staff. The whole 5* experience can be a little overwhelming at times e.g. service at breakfast can be a bit too formal. The rooms are nice but quite simple by 5* standards. The gym and swimming pool are lovely and very relaxing with the large windows surrounding the pool giving excellent views of the lakes. The food however is what you will remember the hotel for - Fredericks restaurant is excellent, we chose only from the Table d'Hote but the standard was very very good. So I would highly recommend this hotel and be sure to make full use of the facilities. It was so lovely & romantic in fact that I asked my girlfriend to marry me after dinner!!!

A big thank you to the staff of Aghadoe Heights. We spent a long weekend there and from the moment we arrived we felt very welcome indeed. The staff are so friendly we wondered if they were being fed 'happy pills' - they really do make you feel welcome in a genuine way.
The rooms are lovely, breakfast is superb and the meals are magnificent. Afternoon tea is a real treat.
It seemed we had the pool, jacuzzi and gym virtually to ourselves, despite the hotel being busy.
Definitely stay here if you want a relaxing time complimented by graceful and unobtrusive service.

We just loved everything, but especially the pool with the waterfall overlooking the lake & mountains.
During our stay (May 26/28) we had incredible sunshine and lounged on the terrace with drinks during the day (Sunburn in Killarney in may??).
Fredrick's restaurant was incredible and enchanted us both by introducing us to Chateau Briand with Bearnaise sauce WOW. The piano player in the Terrace bar after dark is incredible. What a voice. Met some colourful local characters here also. I've got to brush up on my football for my next visit.
Its just occurred to me, that I remember the names of so many of their staff. Michael, Breeda, Siobhan, Ian, Tina, Brendan,,, all really nice people who treated us like royalty.
Darling, pack the kids, we're going back!!
