On the Blue Flag-awarded Logaras Beach, there are plenty of taverns for you to enjoy long, lazy lunches, and bars with great views of Naxos and Iraklia island. Nearby, Punda beach offers water sports for active beach lovers and Caribbean-style palm-fringed umbrellas for sun-worshippers.
Logaras is also a summer time suburb of Marpissa, and nobody stays there in the wintertime. In the summer though the picture is completely different. The beach is surrounded by nice restaurants, small hotels and other self catering accommodation. It's a nice choice for families. The only thing is that the water suddenly becomes very deep. |

Albatross Hotel is located 17 km (11 miles) away from the port of Parikia. Logaras beach (200 m.) has been awarded the Golden Starfish, for its cleanliness and natural beauty.
Ten minutes walk along the coastline brings you to the fishing village of Piso Livadi and its attractive harbour with its bustling surroundings. Another attractive village, within walking distance from Logaras, is Marpissa, which is known for its Venetian castle and its Easter festivities.
While being in the area, don't forget to visit the church of Agios Antonios, at the top of the hill, above Marpissa village. It offers a unique view of almost all Cyclades islands. |
