A long time favorite, Alex Hotel charms with its combination of cozy furnishings and outstanding facilities.
The traditionally styled exterior of the hotel is well kept and the building is accessible from all sides. There is a reception lounge area which is kept in perfect condition and has a cosy, homely atmosphere. All of the hotel's public areas are decorated in old Swiss mountain style with extensive use of dark wooden beams, carvings and furnishings.
Among the notable highlights are indoor tennis and squash courts, swimming pool, a grill room headed by Zermatt's finest chef and a lively club/disco. Stone fireplaces and oriental rugs set the theme of the public areas and as for the guest rooms, they are as spacious and tastefully furnished as any to be found in town.
The Alex is a splendid hotel and is especially recommended to guests looking for a modern hotel with a truly traditional flavour and splendid levels of service. |

A ‘Scottish Corner’ with a big choice of whiskies, a bar with wines by the glass from all over the world, cocktails with and without alcohol. An ‘Alex Ambiance’ to feel happy with back ground music in magic mountain charm.
* The hotel also features a sauna, whirlpool, steambath, pool, tennis, squash, dancing and conference room. |
