Overpriced for the standard
We stayed in this Hotel from 16.-23. March 2009
The location is just perfect because it's just a few meters from the beach and old port where you have nice bars and restaurants. Also the staff is very friendly and helpful. But the overall appearance of this hotel is definitly not 4 star. The hotel is quite old and has been renovated, but the quality of the renovation is not 4 star at all. The apperance of the rooms is ok but not what you would expect from a good 4 star hotel. We think for the standard that they offer it's highly overpriced. We payed about 200,00 EUR per night and we were even upgraded and got a Superior Executive Suite instead of a Junior Suite, but the standard was just average. We think it's a project where some young investors try to get big money out of something without investing enough to offer the standard they promise in their colourful brochures.
If you not necessarily need a suite we would recommend to go to the TAL Hotel one block away and take one of their nicely renovated double rooms or maybe even one of those plus a single room with connecting doors if you need more space. The standard there is much nicer and it's even cheaper.
