Fairly average to stay no more than one night
We chose this hotel because it is not too far from airport. We'd got an evening flight, and as evening flights may sometimes delay significantly we want to just sleep one night and move to downtown Paris next morning.
Our adventures began just as we arrived to CDG. Prior to arriving I asked hotel about shuttle bus by e-mail, and they told me that shuttle service exists and costs 5 EUR per person. We are scheduled to arrive at terminal 2F, and according to them, the nearest bus stop is at gate 4. Upon arrival we went to the street through gate 4 and stood there for about 10-15 minutes, until we've seen the red and white Ibis bus approaching. Surprisingly it rushed in left lane and made no attempts to stop. That made me angry because I wanted to ultimately get to the hotel. Fortunately we still was having the bus in sight, and found that it rushed somewhere down the ramp. We fastly ran down (with our luggage) to the place we thought the bus went to. We were lucky, and we could finally catch it near car rental offices between terminals 2E and 2F. After bus departed, it again went up the ramp, and again rushed with no stop at gate 4. The only positive emotion is that nobody charged us 5 EUR per person for that ride.
When we arrived at the hotel, there were many tourists just arrived, but staff was quick and we had got our key in 5 minutes. The room at 4th floor was very basic, with not very clean carpet and even with traces of soot around the ventilation grille. The bathroom equipment was not new, however bathroom was clean. The window in the room couldn't be closed tightly, so it was bit cool in the room. Also it couldn't isolate us from airport traffic noise, so it was quite hard to fell asleep. WiFi was good, but not cheap - approx 5 EUR for hour and 10 EUR for 24 hrs.
At the morning we had buffet breakfast. At first, the selection was poor. At second, they do not worry about quality. My wife took the apple and cappuccino. Suddenly I saw a little brown insect fell from the apple to the cup of coffee. I told my wife to not drink that coffee and we went to the staff showing them that apple and that cup of cappuccino. The staff was very inventive: they said 'Oh, that's just a piece of chocolate!' Yes, the insect was brown, and he quickly dies stopping moving its legs, so it looked really like a chocolate, but I saw it when it was alive, and they didn't believe me. The result is sad. We had got no compensation or even apologize for our breakfast. Since that day my wife still cannot eat apples and drink cappuccino, and I will try to avoid Ibis hotels in the future.
