could do better
For a country that prides itself on its fresh fruit, the breakfast buffet at Almirante is very poor: tinned fruit juice, tinned mixed fruit bowl, not a single piece of fresh fruit available. Yoghurt only come in artificial varieties (no natural yoghurt). The only hot meat are tiny sausages, the only eggs available are scrambled eggs that are kept hot. Cornflakes are of the cheap variety.
the hotel floor where i stayed (twice) smelled of smoke, although i had opted for non-smoking accomodation. The street at night (and early morning) is not the best Lisbon has to offer (drunks, cocaine prostitutes, ...). But then, that is something you can discard. Location wise, the hotel is close to the city centre (walking distance to Martim Moniz) and on the green line (Metro Anjos).
Staff is friendly, but when changing a booking, you get no reply that the change has been confirmed or not and you're left in limbo.
