America Hotel is situated in the Eixample district, just three blocks from the designer boutiques of Passieg de Gracia and 1.5 km (one mile) from Old Town.
Guests wanting to see some of Gaudi’s most famous architecture will find that La Pedrera (Casa Milá) is only a three block walk along Provença. Casa Batlló, with its wonderful mosaic façade, is only a further three blocks away. |

* Buffet restaurant:
The hotel’s first floor restaurant forms a V-shape around the glass walls of the central atrium. A window stretching the length of one of the sides looks out over the street. Wooden floorboards, cream walls and white tablecloths complete the light and airy ambience. It seats 40 and serves buffet breakfast every morning.
* Bar:
The lobby bar features design worthy of a fashionable cocktail bar, with bright red moon stools at the bar, and low armchairs upholstered in gray with curved wooden arms. Open from 7 AM - midnight it serves coffees, beers, wines, and cocktails. Food can also be ordered from the room service menu.
* When the weather is good there can be few places in Barcelona better to relax and enjoy the sun than the hotel’s roof terrace. It has a raised deck with a swimming pool and spa pool. There are also tables, chairs and sun-loungers. Menus hang below the telephone so guests can order food and drinks. There’s even an exercise bike for those feeling a little more energetic. It also offers fantastic views of the city.
* The basement fitness center is decorated with colorful Keith Haring prints and has cardiovascular and resistance machines and some free weights. There is also a sauna, although guests should ask at reception to make sure they switch it on.
* The hotel also has two meeting rooms which can be opened up to form one large one with a capacity of 60. They come complete with audiovisual equipment and wireless Internet access which is also available in all the hotel’s public areas, including the roof terrace. Guests can also use the Internet Corner by the bar which allows complimentary high-speed Internet access. |

* This hotel has 60 guestrooms, all of which have either wireless or high-speed Internet access, satellite TV, telephone with voicemail, and laptop compatible safe. Each floor has its own color scheme, with all rooms brightly decorated with wooden floors, three cream walls and one bold sponge painted wall (yellow, red, orange, green, or blue).
* The cushions, armchairs, and desk chairs also match the scheme. Beds have soft white duvets and four large pillows. Bathrooms have stylish glass vanity shelves and include a powerful handheld shower and a hairdryer. |

My wife and I have stayed at Hotel America over a weekend. This hotel is a little walk away from the Ramblas but worth it for its peaceful location. The hotel is very modern and the room was very comfy and clean. Breakfast was great, staff was all very friendl...
Hotel clean et agréable à taille humaine. Chambres nickel, petit déjeuner buffet largement suffisant pour se passer du déjeuner! demander à profiter du sauna qui est très agréable. Hotel à recommander pour une visite de quelques jours à Barcelone.
