Great hotel
My mother and i stayed 3 days in Oslo. We had a room on the 12th floor with an amazing view! Breakfast was more than fine, an great international choice! Lots of nice restaurants near the hotel !!

Too good for its rate
My teenage girl have been begging me to go to Oslo because her close friend moved there last year so with a tight budget, I started searching for an affordable hotel that would be also convenient for us. Best Western Anker Hotel really saved my pennies because the rates were really cheap and it is also located at the city center. We had quality time together strolling along the beautiful Akerselva River before she met up with her friend at Grunerlokka while I decided to check out the nearby attractions like the Royal Palace and the Oslo Cathedral. Really fantastic sites I must say! The rooms are clean and the simple design made us feel at home. We had two separate beds that are nice to sleep at and wireless internet too which made it easier for me to do a little work while on vacation. My daughter spent sleepless nights taking advantage of the wireless internet updating her Facebook through her phone. Since this is just a 3-star hotel, the facilities are good for its rate even if it does not have its own gym I was still able to work out at the Nautilus studio for just a minimal amount. Our package includes a complimentary breakfast that is served right in our own room. The food was still hot when it got to our room unlike other hotels and tastes really good. Dining is not a problem because there are lots of restaurants near the hotel and the hotel bar also serves light meals.

Great hotel
I stayed at the Anker for a week in December 2008 and it was great. A nice walk to everything, great staff, nice clean rooms with actual room to move. Near the river with a little bit of green. Buffets pretty ok, but the staff are what make it. Quiet, affordable, I will stay again.

central location
Best Western Anker hotel was well-located close to the city centre. I stayed there when I went to a conference in Oslo. The hotel was lovely and clean. My room was comfortable. Staff was very friendly. I would stay there again

Comfortable and affordable
If you are looking for a comfortable and affordable hotel in Oslo i would recommend this hotel. I've stayed at this hotel with my husband 2 times and each time we had the same satisfaction. The hotel is centrally located and it is easy to find. We went there by our private car and it is nice that the hotel offers garage parking so you don't worry about the safety your car during your stay. One of the best assets of this hotel is that breakfast service starts at 6 am allowing early risers (like me) to have a fresh start to the new day. My husband and I really like the beer garden, it is quite and relaxing. The rooms are comfortable and they have private bathroom, wireless Internet access and TV. This hotel is our only address when we are in Oslo.

Perfect location
The hotel has been newly redecorated, but it has kept the Norwegian traditions. Perfect location.

Generally pleased with our stay
The location of the hotel was excellent. Within walking distance of a lot of the main sites. Plenty of eating options in the area. We stayed here twice, the first time we had a larger room facing the street and the second time we were give a smaller room at the back which got hot in the afternoon. Check in was efficient and we were generally pleased with our stay.

Good medium class hotel
A good very centrally placed hotel. The breakfast room was small and very congested in the morning, but the choice on offer was quite wide. This can be recommended as a medium class hotel right in the centre of Oslo.

Nice room, good breakfeast, friendly staff
The hotel was clean and easy to get to from the main train station, close to the pedestrian mall. The staff was eager to point out places to visit and how to use the public transportation. The breakfast was quite good and met the expected European level of quality. The only drawback was the steet noise from the traffic below but it was not enough to interrupt sleeping. The tram and bus stop is only about 100 meters away which made getting anywhere easy.
