What a wonderful experience
We have stayed at Antiche Figure for a week and it was definitely memorable. We had a spacious, beautifully decorated and furnished, very clean room with three windows giving a wonderful view over the Grand Canal. Slippers and bathrobes together with sweets and a well stocked mini bar was provided that we found it to be a very nice touch. Bathroom was lovely too and quite luxurious. All staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was far better than we had been expecting - plenty of everything and of a good quality. It was useful to have internet access available in the lobby. Hotel is perfectly situated for sightseeing and very easy to find if you get lost. What a wonderful experience we had at Antiche Figure.

We stayed for 3 nights at the end of May and loved it! We arrived really early but didn't have to wait long for the room. The hotel is directly across from the train station and was very easy to find. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Staying in Venice is expensive but we got a pretty good deal with gtahotels. We were able to upgrade for 30 euros to a suite with a balcony overlooking the grand canal. If it is avaliable I'd definately recommend it, the room was amazing! The bed room and bathroom were so big and beautiful (it's the one in all their pictures). We really liked the breakfasts, there were lots of choices and I thought everything was very good. I would definately stay here again, I loved everything about it!

Can't add much to what the others said. We stayed here on our honeymoon last month. Great hotel, perfect location, friendly staff, spacious and well-appointed rooms. We would absolutely stay here again!
Be sure to take advantage of the things they offer, too: a boat to Murano and Burano, and a gondola ride for 35 euros pp. A great deal!

Stayed at the Hotel Antiche Figure on November 11, 2003 for one night.
Although not much time was spent at the hotel because of sightseeing in Venice it was a wonderful hotel to come back to relax. The room was small but very nicely decorated.. bed was comfortable..also had a stocked minibar. The bathroom was beautiful all in marble with murano glass lighting. Best of all was it had a rack in which you could place your towels and it would heat them while you were in the shower or tub.The breakfast in the morning was quite good. There was cereals, crossiants, fruit, cheese and meat along with fruit juice and coffee.
If you are going to stay there... if you want the lights in your room to come on search close to the door for a card holder which turns on the lights.. once removed after a minute the lights go out.. thought that was neat. Overall I enjoyed my brief stay at this hotel but would return in the future. Venice is beautiful so I will be back.

We stayed in this hotel at the beggining of Sept for 5 days and it made our holiday. The room and bathroom were on the small side, but beautifly decorated in the venetian style. The hotel is just a ride away from San Marco on the No 1 vaporetto which stops in front of train station and it is very frequent (one of the best ways to do a tour of the Canal without paying the astronomical prices for private tours). We found a quick way to walk to Piazza San Marco and we were there in 20 minutes every day, which allows us to get to know different parts of venice.
Staff were incredibly helpful, they were always very glad to help, especial mention is Alessandro at reception, his help was invaluable, he gave us plenty of tips where to go, what to see, where to eat etc...The only negative comment is the breakfast was not great as someone else has mentioned, but we found a great Patissery just over the bridge, which had the best coffee in Venice, and yes if you stand up like the locals, two cappuccinos were less than ?‚?2.
Other than that, I cannot recomend enough this hotel, it truly was a great experience. A tip when you arrive to Venice, instead of getting the water taxi or water bus, just ask for the suttle to Piazzale di Roma, it only cost ?‚?3 and leaves you just 2 minutes from the hotel. Once you arrive to P. Roma follow indication for the Train Station, the hotel is exactly in front of the station on the other side of the canal...we save ourselves ?‚?80 fare for the water taxi!

We stayed here for 3 nights in August and found this a quality hotel. Although the room (202)was quite small ,it was beautifully decorated with a delightful bathroom and full air con. The balcony offered a stupendous view of the Grand Canal.Although a little noisy a.m. this was atmospheric rather than annoying. The staff were friendly, helpful and also very attractive ! The bar is adequate. My only criticism would be that more attention could be given to the paved side area outside ,adjacent to the bar which could be used by guests to greater advantage . The breakfast also is rather basic and bland .Other than that it is excellent value for money given my experience of 4 star establishments in this location. A little known gem , ideally placed opposite St Lucia train station on the otherside of the canal and a vaporetto stop!

This hotel was one of our best experiences during our two week stay in Italy. We had a balcony view of the Grand Canal that was wonderful. (Only a few rooms have a balcony, so be sure to ask for one.) The hotel staff members were very helpful and fluent in English. The rooms were small but luxerious and clean. The hotel appeared to be very well maintained and recently renovated. The location is excellent. It is directly across the canal from the train station with a bridge located nearby. It also located only two blocks from Piazza Roma which is the drop off point for buses going to and from the airport. The Vaporetto (water bus) stop is also located nearby. The cost of the hotel is moderately high but worth every penny. I observed while there that prices were negotiable. You can't do better in Venice for this price.
