The Aquamarina Hotel is actually a unique boat hotel with 40 guest rooms. The hotel was reconstructed from a Russian paddle-wheeled steamboat which was built at the beginning of the 1900’s for the Romanov dynasty in Somorskiy shipyard. It was named “Veliky kniaz Alexander Mihaylovitch” and mostly sailed on Russian waters (Kaukasus, Merkur). The hotel was totally rebuilt in 2006.
It is located in a particularly green and attractive area of Budapest, the Roman Bank (Római Part). The boat hotel is moored on Budapest’s virtually only intact Danube’s riverside bank and it welcomes guests throughout the year with facilities that you would expect from a property of this class |

There is also a direct boat service that operates from the boat hotel to the city center from May to September. Hotel guests may choose from the various programs offered in the surrounding area: from cycling tours through outdoor pools to waterskiing. A few of the numerous cultural points of interests are: the Aquincum ruins, St. Andrews island (Szentendre) or the Danube bend with Visegrád and Esztergom. |
