Peaceful hidaway

This is an ideal hotel for those who like a beautiful quiet beach of clean, white sand, clear,safe water & free loungers under the palms or sun shades, but there are few other diversions or activities. There is a small jaccuzi pool, another by the beach (under refurbishment while we were there Dec. 2010),a pleasant mini golf course, & darts.There is no organised entertainment. On the beach you can hire a jetski & have a Thai massage but the prices were a third higher than most other places. There are several restaurants/bars, but not all are open in low season. The one for breakfast is in a lovely setting above the beach with panoramic views over the sea to other islands. There is a small shop & travel agent nearby, but most people feel the need to hire a car or risk a scooter to get about as there is no bus service, taxis are expensive & hotel shuttle is limited. All the staff, without exception, live up to the Thai reputation for friendly helpfullness - where else would you get a big hug on leaving?!
