It's got everything you need
As a recent visitors of Arcadia Hotel, we found this particular establishment to be a reasonably priced base for exploring Stockholm, it's got everything you need - polite and friendly hotel staff, clean and comfortable rooms, the breakfast of a 3 star quality.
Arcadia Hotel is located centrally in Stockholm's Östermalm district, not far from the legendary Stockholm Stadium.
All in all, Arcadia Hotel is a reasonably priced base for exploring Stockholm. |

A very pleasant hotel in an expensive city
This is not the prettiest building in Stockholm, but it's one of the few hotels I stayed in where the inside is much better than the outside or on websites. The elevator is a wonderful antique, a real museum piece! The reception is spartan, and service is minimal. For example, if you need to store your luggage, they give you the key to the storage room and you do it yourself. But it's relatively inexpensive for Stockholm and there's no army of bellboys to tip at every turn. Rooms are spacious enough, comfortable, and very clean. Good, clean bathrooms, with efficient showers. The buffet breakfast is excellent with good coffee and a wide choice of cold meats, cheese, breads, cereals, etc. The restaurant/bar is a nice place to hang out. The location is very good: a short walk to a subway station just three stops from the Centrale train station. Or you can walk to most central attractions in 20-30 minutes. The location is mostly residential. There is some street noise during the day but nights are quiet. Overall, a very pleasant hotel in an expensive city.
