-The reception itself is a smoking lounge. When we entered hotel first day, we got shocked to see the reception full of smokers.
I have been to many cities in europe. This is first time i've seen something like this.
If u are a nonsmoker, specially ask for a non-smoker room at the time of booking.
-Bathroom is very conjested.

I chose this hotel because of its location,if you have to be at the airport for an early fight I strongly recommend it to everybody.The hotel is clean,situated only 2min.walking straight distance from the Rennweg station,where you can take 2 trains to the airport in the morning-one at 4.59am daily and another one at 5.11 on Wednesday only with a traveling time of 22min.price 3.40euro.Just across you also have a tram station(number 71 I think)but I have not used it.I can not judge much for the rooms as I slept in a single room which was really had a small bathroom,but it was clean,soundproof and had all necessary faciities-a TV,refridgerator and a direct phone line.I did not use the service in the restaurant,but I asked for a packed breakfast and my demand was willingly satisfied.Both a lady in the evening and the man in the morning at the reception were very kind and helpful.I really strongly recommend this hotel as one truly worth its accommodation price with both its service,quality and situation.

Well positioned excellent friendly hotel
This excellent good-value hotel is just 2 tram stops from the centre of Vienna (Schwarzenbergplatz) and is on the S7 train line from airport (takes 20 minutes, don't bother with CAT which costs 4x more). Decent sized rooms & amenities. Breakfast is fresh & adequate with all essentials, if not exactly magnificent. Paid 64 euros for B+B in April '09 & would definitely stay again whenever in Vienna.

review ... hmm....
well... we spent 2 nights in this hotel. it's not such a bad hotel. honestly, to me it seemed more a 3 stars hotel than a 4 stars ( at least that's what they say...). the surprise we ha is that they made us pay 15euros night to park the car into the garage.
so if you want to stay in this hotel dont forget to add 15eurosnight to your room' s price.

Unprofessional staff
Besides a much to small room for usually charged 185euro, the staff was highly unprofessional. At the breakfast buffet, the staff started to clear the buffet tables at 10am sharp producing annoying noise with plates and silverwear. Breakfast wasn't relaxing at all. Moreover, the cleaning lady knocked on our door every 15min when we tried to relax in the hotel room on a rainy morning... all in all, quite a strange place.

I spent a night in this hotel and everything was great, including room , garrage, breakfast! I will go next time there for sure. Near from downtown.

I stayed there when I went to see one of my friends in Vienna. The hotel was well-decorated. Rooms were in good size with clean bathrooms. The hotel staff was polite. I liked breakfast. I didn't have any problem. I appreciated this nice simple hotel. I would stay here

Modern hotel
This hotel is an excellent hotel to stay in Vienna. It is so close to the city center and to the Hundertwasserhaus, the Akademietheater and the Konzerthaus. The rooms are modernly decorated and comfortable with high speed internet connection. The hotel restaurant serves a delicious selection of international and Austrian specialties, unfortunatelly it is closed on Sundays. I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel and would highly recommend it.

Nice hotel, great breakfast
If you want a nice hotel, with a pretty good location choose Artis. The very small bathroom is the only bad thing. but the breakfast is fantastic and gives you good energy for the day
