We stayed here when we visited Liverpool. The accommodations were excellent, even though we are used to larger beds in the United States. The room was clean and very comfortable with a nice bath and great shower. The breakfast was outstanding and the staff was very gracious. I would certainly stay here again.

Stayed at this property from 26 Aug - 31 Aug. Easy 15 minute walk to Albert Dock and Mathew Street. The Pier Head is a 5 minute walk. My single room was "compact" -- 2 twin beds pushed together and not a lot of room to walk around. I had 2 little problems while in this room. The first was that the telephone did not work and the staff was very helpful in trying to swap out phones. When they determined that the actual problem was in the lines in the wall. they offered to move me, but no rooms were available (Bank Holiday weekend and Mathew St. Festival). However, on Monday, 30 Aug, they were able to move me to a very posh upgrade -- Queen-sized bed, windows overlooking the stages at the Pier Head and the River Mersey. Plenty of room to stretch out and move around. The second was some very noisy guests in the room next door who woke me twice during the night with their partying. I was told to speak with the Head Porter, who assured me they'd already had two "stern words" with those guests. He found me later that day to confirm that unfortunately no other rooms were available, but that the problem guests had already checked out. Every staff member I met was extremely friendly, helpful and dedicated to making my stay a comfortable one. Room service was great! The food was good and they were happy to bring me pitchers of ice water. The breakfast buffet was very good with lots of choices from full English Breakfast to fruit and cereal. The tea and biscuit tray placed in the room each day was a nice touch.
