Superb location and great service!
My dream vacation finally came true and I would just like to share my experience during my recent stay in Augusto's Copacabana Hotel. My friend and I were picked up by the hotel shuttle service from the Galeao International Airport to the hotel...travel time was like only 30 minutes. The hotel has a cool medieval design with paintings on the ceiling and this small sculpture of Greek Gods. Our room was cozy and bed was soft perfect for sleeping but of course we did not sleep that much during our stay. The Copenhagen Beach was just two blocks away from the hotel so we basically spent most of our time there. The room has a nice tub, internet and cable TV which was the top three we look for in a hotel room. Our room rate included free breakfast buffet so no need to worry what to eat each time we wake up especially with a hangover...walking under the sun to find food is not a good idea! The hotel also has a fitness center and the rooftop pool was awesome. The Sugar Loaf can be seen on top and I even took pics with that as a background. Wish I was in Rio now!

Great Visit
We just spent ten days (March 20 - April 1st, 2008) in Rio at Augusto's Copacabana Hotel and have many good things to say about the hotel. Great service, breakfast and very good location. English was well spoken by front desk personnel. We paid about $100/night/USD and found the value to be very good. The room we stayed at faced the back so that it was quiet but a balcony would have been nice - request one at check in. Many amenities within a short walk. Tours offered at hotel were only OK and a bit pricey, however.
