The hotel is well run and offers attractively furnished, well-appointed bedrooms. The intimate atmosphere of the restaurant overlooking the Isle of Ewe, offers the finest of service. Inverewe Gardens are 5km from the hotel as Gruinard Bay 4km which is a beautiful sandy bay with unusual red coloured sand with a backdrop of spectacular mountains. There are many beautiful walks in the area, both along the coast and inland, to suit the casual stroller or energetic hiker. Places of interest along the way include: the cave at Cove, the wreck of the USS William H Welsh, the cave at Sand, Beast Loch and Fionn Loch.
Loch Ewe and the Torridon mountains offer some of the most spectacular scenery in the country. Gruinard Bay and the beaches at Mellon Udrigle and Opinan are not to be missed, with their stretches of untouched sand - magical! The Benn Eighe nature reserve is nearby. |
