Bali is a popular tourist destination in Indonesia that is situated on the western part of Lesser Sunda Islands and nestled between the islands of Lombok and Java. There are lots of religious and cultural festivals in Bali but the most famous is the Hindi New Year which is held every March or April which features parades, colorful giants and total silence. If you are into arts, then make sure to join the annual Arts Festival which runs from June to July and features various shows and exhibits. Bali boasts of its large number of Hindu Temples and the most-visited are the Uluwatu Temple, Tanah Lot and Besakih Temple. A haven for all art lovers and tourists is Ubud where you can find many museums and attractions such as the Elephant Cave, Water Palace, Kehen Temple and Puri Lukisan Museum.
The best way to travel in Bali is by bus since it is cheaper and accessible. If you are a group of travelers, it is more advisable to rent a car with a driver.
