Staff was very friendly especially the breakfast crew which started our 3 days on a good note. Shower was a bit small but everything was relatively new-marble bathroom. Couldn't ask for a better location!

My family and I recently stayed at the Hotel Barberini. We spent several days there and it was the best of all the 4 star hotels we stayed in Italy. The hotel was very clean with modern updated facilities and a very friendly helpful staff. It's location was great, with an easy walk to the subway and all of the major important sites. I am a particular about where I stay and I have no problems recommending this hotel.

We spent a weekend in the Barberini in June in a Junior Suite. Wonderful location -5mins walk from Spanish Steps/ Trevi Fountain. Rooms quiet and cool in 31 degrees heat. Service friendly and helpful. A great value hotel in an expensive city.

We were just here in April 2004 for 3 nights. If you are a walker, the location is perfect ... 10 minutes from Trevi, top or bottom of Spanish Steps, Via Veneto. 10 minutes more gets you to Via Corso, Villa Borghese, Pantheon, Piazza Navona, etc. And the hotel staff couldn't be nicer. Quiet location, good breakfast. The rooftop breakfast terazza opens in May, so we missed it .. but it is beautiful up there. Would stay here again, or recommend to anyone in a heartbeat.Only if you have your heart set on staying in a particular location ... Trastavere, Vatican, Forum Area, Campo di Fiori .. would I hesistate.

As time passes by and you visit more and more cities, you find out how important is to take big care of the hotel selection. In some countries, like Austria, the U.S, or The Netherlands, it's really easy to find a good hotel, but in others as the UK, france or Italy, it's recommendable to look after the choice with special care. Rome is one of the most marvellous places in the world, ideal for a few days-off. My girlfriend and I planned our trip to this ancient wonderful city with so much illusion that we didn't want any little thing to be disgusting or annoying. We made an in-depth search on the web in order to decide the best possible option. Finally, we decided to go to the Barberini Hotel, due to its beautiful appearance, it's unbeatable location and the great reviews we read about it on the Internet. Since we entered the lobby for the first time and we checked-in, we felt at home. The place was absolutely wonderful, roman-flavoured, warm and charming. The hotel staff were very friendly and gave us great (and personalised) treatment. Our room was really cozy and impeccably clean, the bathroom was a whole other world, sensational breakfast buffet was included. So: extremely nice hotel with extremely nice rooms, really kind, customer-oriented staff, and one of the best possible locations in Rome (just a few steps to Barberini square, a five minute-walk to Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain, and to subway stops to Termini railway station). Could you really ask for more?

Great location and great service. Beautiful view from the bar at the top terraze. Stayed there last July when the heat wave was at full force, and it was nice to stay at a hotel where you could cool off as soon as you came in. Good rate by italian standards.

The Barberini is a nice clean hotel smack in the middle of everything.
We walked everywhere, even to St Peter's, but that was a bit far.
Colloseum, Trevi, Pantheon, all easy walking distance. Also next to Barberini underground station. Shops very close by, with lots of restaurants just round the corner. The hotel offers good accomodation for a modest price. recommended. (No I don't have shares in them!) Enjoy..............................

2nd visit to Rome, but 1st time at The Barberini.
My wife and I liked everything about the hotel. Reception staff were efficient, friendly and very polite, every day. Breakfast room staff too, were polite and professional. The buffet breakfast gave a good range of food, from cereals, fruit, croissants, bacon-egg-sausage etc. Very cleanly presented.
Our room was small, but tastefully furnished. Everything about the hotel, looked clean and well maintained.
Well located - approx 5mins walk to Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain & the shops.
We enjoyed an end of day drink in the 6th floor, rooftop bar.
A small hotel with a BIG positive result for us.
We hope one day to go back.
