Affordable prices, good service
This is a good hotel in Cardiff with good location and it offers comfortable accomodation. It is located next to Cardiff Castle right in the center of the city allowing easy access to the major attractions. It is only 5 minutes ride from the gorgeous Cardiff Bay. The room i stayed was a spacious single room with wooden furnishings and the en-suite facilities were satisfactory. The hotel has a wonderful restaurant which serves delicious examples from Welsh cuisine. This is a good choice for the budget traveller who want to get good service for affordable prices.

Great comfortable place
Angel hotel really could not have been nicer and the staff was all so good and helpful so we felt right at home the moment we arrived at reception.
I can see where people are coming from with comments about the age of the hotel but it has a bit of character that modern hotels just lack, and it is perfectly clean and tidy. I think we had a refurbished room and we found this to be clean and tidy and good for our 2 night break.
I recommend Angel to all but the fussiest as a great comfortable place to stay right in the middle of a lovely city and next to the castle walls.

Stayed there March 2004. Nice hotel, recently refurbished. We were upgraded to a larger room as we had a baby with us. The room itself was large, clean and tastefully furnished. Good breakfast, friendly, helpful staff.
Slightly pricey but worth it.
