Exceeded Expectations!
I was a little worried after reading reviews of this hotel on websites such as tripadvisor.com, making it sound dirty and creepy.
Imagine my surprise on finding a clean, cute hotel on a street that I felt safe walking on at all times of the day and night. The room (booked as a triple) was cheaper for my two friends and I than staying in hostel so I wasn't expecting much. We got a sitting room with plenty of space, a tv, a separate bedroom with two queen beds, a fridge, and a closet. This was a great hotel, especially for the price!

nice hotel
On my trip to Vancouver I stayed at this hotel. The best thing was location. The hotel was close to many shopping centers, restaurants and clubs. Room facilities were good. The hotel was clean. My room was a bit small but OK. Don't expect luxury but I recommend it for a short stay

Good location, cosy accomodation
Barclay Hotel has a good location near charming boutiques and restaurants. I stayed at this hotel with my friend in May 2007 and we both had great time there. The hotel's Bistro Lounge is an ideal place to relax and have good time with friends and the live entertainment group makes you have joyful moments. Apart from all these, the room in which we stayed was clean and comfortable with air condition, fridge and television. I highly recommend this hotel as it really worths the money I paid.

Avoid this place
Even if it is in a very good place in the middle of downtown, I suggest you not to go there. The smell of that place is AWFUL.. The bathroom of my room looked like a public washroom unattended. Plus, there is no parking in the area and you will have to add 10 $ a day to put your car blocks away.
