The central block of the present hotel building serves guests from 1915, the name of the former Imperial Hotel is preserved by one of the function rooms. After its reopening in 1985, the Hungaria Hotel was modernised several times. The Hungaria is the patron of modern Hungarian art: the majority of the works of art were ordered by the hotel, thus the artists were inspired by the place of their display. The most famous of the thirty artists are the renowned sculptors Miklós Melocco, Pál Kõ and Péter Vladimir, Zsuzsa Péreli whose tapestries are known all over the world and Attila Zsigmond, György Puiz and Barna Bardócz reputable masters of applied arts. |

We had a lovely suite in the hotel and the staff were helpful and friendly, it is on a busy junction where traffic roafrs past day and night. Close to public transport and the railway station
