The hotel is situated in a highly strategic position and is the perfect point from which to discover this surprising city. Just a short distance from the Hotel, in fact, are some of the most artistically and culturally interesting places in Catania: the attractive Roman Amphitheater, the relaxing Villa Bellini gardens, a favorite with the Catanese people for strolling round, the magnificent Via dei Crociferi, overlooked by a series of magnificent baroque palaces, and Piazza Duomo, with the Chapel of St. Agatha where a valuable treasure is stored and carried in a procession every year during the celebrations in honor of the city's patron saint (3rd, 4th and 5th February).
The Benedictine Monastery is also an essential visit, nowadays home to the Faculty of Arts, the St. Julian Church, one of the most beautiful in Catania, and Ursino Castle, the only building to survive the earthquake in 1693.

Me and my daughter spent 2 nights at Hotel Mediterraneo. It is conveniently located just 10 min. walk away the famous volcano Etnea. The house of the famous composer Bellini is also just a stroll away from the hotel. Hotel has a nice, relaxing atmosphere with ...
