Best Western Sunset Suites Downtown Hotel, tucked away in the Sunset Station/Riverwalk area of San Antonio waits one jewel of a ""boutique"" hotel property. Judging from the exterior of this renovated historical building; one would hardly expect to find such warmth, elegance and charm.
The lobby basement once a speakeasy during prohibition days was known to have housed such talents as Louise Armstrong. In fact, one of the original murals of that day has been preserved and is open for public viewing upon request. The stained glass lobby doors open to display an expanse of rich solid oak mission-style furniture, reflecting the day of the original construction in 1896. |
