| A charming and intmate boutique hotel... |
|
Blue Moon Hotel New York has been lovingly restored from a typical immigrant tenement building to a charming and intmate boutique hotel located in a landmark lower east side Manhattan neighborhood.
From it’s early days of working class heros, the stone streets in this area have seen the upsurgence of rennovation and had a kaleidescope of cultures live and work on them.
The streets surrounding this area of Orchard street have been reborn and the cobblestones have come to life once more.
When staying in this area one cannot help marvel at the history and the life of the new immigrant in America. Walk a little south and find yourself in the canyons of one of the most powerful financial areas in the world. Discover tiny old-world restaurants and bars, as old as the neighborhood in which they reside. Marvel at the amazing architecture of downtown. Catch a show in Greenwich village, or find yourself at the famous Blue Note jazz club. Visitors will be hard-pressed to find themselves bored in this city.
Every care has been taking to ensure comfort for every guest with a spacious lobby for lounging that is more like that of a gallery, with many old photographs and artifacts of the past life of New Yorkers on display. Couple all this past-life charm to spacious rooms, with large beds, modern ensuite bathrooms, and not to mention all rooms being unique in their furnishings appointed in individual personas of celebrities from past days. For example, stay in the Al Jolson or Eddy Cantor penthouse, or the Molly Picon suite.
Concierge services can arrange anything from massages, fitness training, baby sitting services, show tickets, and tour packages, to name a few.
Please note that the hotel is non-smoking. |
| LOCATION |
|
Wedged between what is known as the Lower East side and Chinatown and just a few streets over is Little Italy, Soho and the financial district.
Go up a few streets to the famous Katz deli for a mouth watering sandwich, head over to the Italian neighborhood for a delecable plate of pasta, how about a chinese dim sum brunch? Whatever the taste, it’s only a few paces away from the Blue Moon Hotel.
The bustling water side area of South Street seaport, Battery Park, East Village, are nearby as well as at least five different subway lines.
More than 20 years ago this area was home to first time immirgrants to the country and the working class people occupied these cobblestoned streets with their butcher shops, bakeries, pickle factories, and vending carts. Today this area like many other neighborhoods in NYC and it also has seen a regentrification of young professionals move in and now the same stone streets host a bevvy of eclectic shops, bars, restaurants and lounges. |
