We stayed at the Marriott, Bouernemouth in June 2003 and it was one of our best vacation . The reason we visited Bournemouth was because my husband was there as a pupil 40 years ago.
Looking for a place to stay we chose the Marriott because of a special rate including breakfeast and Dinner together with a seaview room. Beautiful view , even laying on the bed the ocean and sailing competions could be watched. The windows only can be opened only in the upper part.
Sitting in front of the building in the afternnon for tea was also wonderful watching the ocean.
Breakfeast and Dinner were deliceous.
The service was great .
We loved the pool area. Inside and outside pool areas. Very clean. Not crowed at all. Steambath, sauna etc. Best of all pools at hotels we visited since travelling since 1982. Open early in the morning. Swimming before breakfeast is wonderful.
But I can only recommend the seaview rooms.
I never will stay at rooms to the backyard.
Going back to Bournemouth we will stay there again depending of the rate . |

Had the opportunity to visit the Bournemouth Highcliff in mid June to give a speech. Initially I was a little upset with the air conditioner breaking down the first night (the hottest day of the year to that point) but I was moved to another room and everything was OK.However, in my rush to leave, I left a shirt that was returned from the laundry.
In addition, some papers that were to be delivered to me in time, were late so they were left as well.I really didn't expect to see either again but on August 19 I received them in the mail along with a nice note from the Housekeeping Supervisor, Evelyne Sturges.I was impressed that they went out of their way after I had left the hotel and the country. Hope to return again. |

Stayed here on 7th June for the weekend. The hotel is in a great location overlooking the sea. Some rooms have sea views. Short 5 minute walk to Bournemouth town centre. The hotel has a nice swimming pool with Sauna, Steam room, Gym and Tennis courts (will lend you rackets at no charge). These facilities are also offered to members of a health club. On both Saturday and Sunday morning there were few people using the facilities. Very friendly staff. Spacious rooms with comfortable bed and my wife liked the decor. Usual Marriott bathroom. Breakfast is a little expensive (GBP 14 - GBP 5 for kids) but is worth it. Great for business and families at the weekend. We will be back. |

As soon as i entered the hotel I had a great feeling, it was clean and the hotel staff were very pleasent. I went to my room which was the coastguard suite and went out in the pool. The pools were very clean both inside and out. It was a peaceful place to be and the view was great. There is not one bad thing to say about this holiday. |
