Location, Climate
Brighton is an attractive seaside resort in England. It is situated in East Sussex county and on the southern part of London. Brighton features a maritime climate but summers tend to be cooler than other cities in south Britain because of the sea breeze. Book a cheap hotel in advance because summers are usually packed with tourists. Choose from a wide range of cheap hotels online.
Brief History
Brighton used to be a sleepy fishing village called Brighthelmstone. The city gained recognition when Dr. Richard Russell started to prescribe seawater to his patients and advocated bathing in the sea in 1750. Brighton continued to flourish when the Prince of Wales established the Royal Pavilion in the 19th century and railways were developed around 1840.
