The traditional and charming 5 star Bristol Hotel Salzburg is situated in the midst of an unique environment - in the heart of the old part of Salzburg city. Just a few steps away through the Mirabell Garden, you will find the Congress Centre. The hotel was built around 1890 and has been run as a family business for many generations. History shows that the Bristol was the first hotel on the right side of the river Salzach equipped with electricity. In the guest book you will find many of prominent names like Emperor Franz Joseph I., Sigmun Freud, Ricardo Muti.
You are surrounded by cultural attractions - the Mirabell Palace and the Mirabell Garden, Mozart's residence, the Salzburg local theatre, the famous Getreidegasse and the festival area.
Recently renovated to recreate the luxury and finesse of a bygone era, the hotel's interior is characterised by fine period furniture and warm decor with modern touches. Many bedrooms overlook the beautiful Hohensalzburg fortress, nestled on a wooded hillside in the distance.

Great great great
Bristol Salzburg is a beautiful old world grand hotel situated right across small square from Mozart's residence, which gives a hotel a great position, far from the noise, but close enough to get to the main attractions by easy walking. The service at the hotel was splendid, everyone was so much caring and helpful, that definitely made it very cozy place to be. The rooms we stayed in was fantastic, the biggest room I have ever stayed in! The bathroom was perfectly clean and with wonderful décor. The view from our window was beautiful, Mozart’s house across the road. The breakfasts were also great with a wonderful spread on offer. I personally loved Briston Hotel in every aspect – great location, great atmosphere, fantastic rooms, splendid service and breakfast. Highly recommended.

My experience at the Bristol Hotel in Salzburg was unforgettable! I was generously offered a beautiful junior suite at a special rate for my wedding. It was a grand and spacious room with beautiful views of the square, complete with a gigantic marble bathroom. I stayed there the night before my wedding and then on my wedding night with my husband. Both the owner and staff ensured personalised service and attention to detail. We definitely recommend the hotel to all our friends and family. Unfortunately, we didn't know about this place until after we had already booked rooms at another hotel nearby which was much "stuffier" and less personable. My husband and I intend on going back to the same place and room on our 5th wedding anniversary.

Salburg and the Bristol Hotel have been the highlight of my European adventure. This clean, quite and beatiful city is a must see! An extra bonus for Mozart lovers and Sound of Music lovers. Take the Sound of Music tour regardless. It is a great way to see the city and beautiful country-side.
