ask for room size
the hotel burgundy is a good 3-star choice in excellent location..Service and especially breakfast are of high standard. Anyhow the hotel is in a phase of redvelopment.
The lobby is still a bit shabby, staircase and corridors are
rather narrow. Before booking make sure that the room You choose correspondens to the pictures shown. Otherwise You might be disappointed by a very small though cosy chamber.

We booked this place through AAA for our honeymoon. We had a beautiful room open to a courtyard. The breakfast buffet was excellent (cheesey eggs!). The location is great, very convenient to get around Paris.
Good restaurants within walking distance, too.

The hotel was in a great location. The room was SMALL, However, it was VERY CLEAN. It's a good choice.

We booked this hotel through gtahotels last year for our honeymoon. This hotel was perfect. We didn't want something that looked slick and brand new, like a Hilton. We wanted something Parisian and I think we found it.
The elevator was tiny, and the hallways creaked a bit when you walked through them, it was obviously an old building, which was right up our alley. The concierge was very helpful, particularly in light of our execrable French.
The rooms were cozy yet airy. There were large French windows that opened up, allowing a nice breeze in. There were window boxes filled with geraniums, that looked out into other buildings. It's a lively street, and we woke in the mornings to the sound of Parisians on their way to work.
When we return to Paris we plan to stay in this hotel again. We really loved its charm.

This hotel has a wonderful location with two metro stops nearby and everything within walking distance. The rooms were spacious and clean and the breakfast was an excellent buffet. The reception staff were fluent several languages and eager to help with anything we asked, especially Bruno and Mavis. The real surprise is that this is rated as a 3 star - we've stayed many times in Paris and the Burgundy was miles better than any other three star we've stayed in.
