Catalonia Berna Hotel is situated in one of the first residential buildings built in Barcelona's Eixample district by Catalan architect Josep Cerda. Built in 1864 in an eclectic style of classical inspiration, it has been classified as a historic monument. It is the only building that still retains the splendid paintings and ornaments of the original facade, which has been totally renovated. The hotel is opened in March 2003 and furnished in a modern and elegant style.
Catalonia Berna is situated in the neuralgic centre of the Modernism and the Eixample area and located near the most important buildings by Antonio Gaudi and other famous architects. |

Stayed one night. Very clean and well designed hotel...very well positioned for exploring aome of the Gaudi buildins in Central Barcelona. We enjoyed the buffet breakfast...good pastries...and we did get served in the bar bu a very pleasant bar man.
