Good value, but one could hope for a better customer service

We stayed there 2 nights in June. Good location, 5 min from Madeleine. The place must have been just renovated. Nice size room and we got great value. All was fine until I asked receptionist for help. I asked her to call for me and confirm my airport transfer arrangements. When checking out, Cynthia, I believe that was her name, told me to go back my room and call myself as I had to pay for the call not the hotel: it was 800 number... Plus she refused to give me hotel receipt for incidentals and to top it off she wouldn't speak English. So that was a pretty bad ending to a nice beginning. Hopefully she will not work long there as Best Western is taking over it.
