Cheap and classic hotel in L.A.!

I just came back from a 4-day vacation in Los Angeles with my Grandmother and was glad that she enjoyed our trip. She has raised me up since I was just 5 so to repay all the good things she has done for me, I treated her with a simple yet fun vacation in L.A. I chose Cecil Hotel because first the rates are very affordable, second the designs are old fashioned and third the location is great! This hotel is at the downtown area and close to many attractions like the Museum of Contemporary Art and Staples Center. It was funny how my cool grandma enjoyed watching the L.A. Clippers...I did not know she was a fan! LOL. There are also lots of shops and restaurants nearby which was great because it saved us some money getting a cab. We stayed in a room with two beds...it was homey and cozy. There are rooms with shared bathrooms which are cheaper but we chose the one with a private bathroom because grandma was picky. Cecil Hotel does not have a restaurant but it has a coffee shop where we have breakfast or snacks. My fave restaurant nearby is Taylor's Steak House...affordable and delicious.

Nice hotel

I stayed here for only one night but that was enough to love this place. Cecil Hotel is a gem in Los Angeles. It has a great downtown location a few blocks from the Union Station. The whole city is within easy reach by metro. The hotel has a warm friendly atmosphere, staff are all nice and friendly. I stayed in a single room which was good in size, comfortable and clean. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was in good condition with working facilities. Towels were clean. I enjoyed a good night's sleep at this hotel. Would be back while in Los Angeles again. Recommended!
