Being Honest
Firstly, I found the hotel quite impressive and quite comfortable; I found service friendly and polite; decorative and snazzy; clean and presentable; but unfortunately I was quite displeased with the food and hidden charges and taxes.
I was not too pleased with my trip to Singapore sadly to say nor with the hotel food selection as I felt it does not altogether meet the needs of Westerners. I found the food tasteless and very expensive; poor quality and poor selection, especially the evening meals. Please label your meals with understandable prices including your very expensive buffet.
Customers 'Beware' those hidden fees – GST, Cess auto, and Service charge 20% + of your bill perhaps. This may apply to all hotels in Singapore. Sorry I also did not like the shower curtain please replace those with glass doors or you will end up with wet floors every time. If you have no car and rely on taxi fares that too becomes expensive as this beautiful hotel is just too far from the main city area. Singapore is a beautiful and very tropical island. Be prepared to wear very cool cloths, hat and sunscreen. Drink plenty of fluids. Enjoy the many areas of tourist traps including Sentosa. My first and last trip to Singapore as a stop over.
One last thing – be cautious of Singapore airlines as their old planes are like sardine cans. Fly only with the new upgrade planes.
