Charleville Lodge is ideally located in the Phibsborough area of Dublin City. It is within walking distance of Temple Bar, Trinity College and Phoenix Park and within easy reach of Dublin Airport, Car Ferries, Many Historical Sights, Theatres, Shops and Restaurants. The Dublin City Tour Bus, for which tickets are sold at the reception desk, can be taken from nearby Parnell Square. This is a great means of seeing the city as one can hop on and off as they please. Other areas of interest only a short distance away are Croke Park, The Mater Hospital and Grangegorman (see links below).
Directions from Airport
Driving
Take the M1 city bound. When you get to the Drumcondra Road you will cross the Tolka River. 350 metres beyond the river you will pass under a railway bridge. After this, you will cross the Grand Canal. Then, the third turn to the right is the North Circular Road. Continue down that road for 800 meters. Once you go through the crossroads at Phibsborough, take the road to the left of St Peter's Church. We are located 200 metres down this road on the left hand side. To get to our car park, take the left turn just after the terrace of houses, and then left again down a little laneway. You will find the car park at the end of the laneway on the left hand side.
Coming by Bus
Take either the 16A, the Expresso 747 or the Aircoach to the City Centre. Alight at the first stop on O'Connell St. Cross the road and take the number 10 which terminates at the Phoenix Park. Alight at the stop after St. Peter's Church. We are just after the stop on your left hand side. |

Charleville Lodge boasts 30 well appointed Guest Rooms. All rooms have ensuite facilities, direct dial telephone and colour television. The Hotel comprises three Victorian Houses with a contemporary Garden Wing overlooking the courtyard. Charleville has often been described as having the best of both worlds in that it is near to the city centre but still at a distance to allow a pleasant, peaceful night's sleep. The rooms at the front of the building overlook the tree-lined North Circular Road, while those to the rear have a view of the courtyard. With their high ceilings and Victorian décor, these rooms are full of character and charm.
Whether relaxing after a day of shopping, watching the television, reading the newspaper or chatting with friends over a cup of coffee, the luxurious resident's bar and adjoining lounge are at the disposal of our guests. Guests are welcome to borrow or exchange books from the lounge library.
