This places offers the best value for money in Birmingham. For ?60 per weekend night you get a modern, spacious, soundproofed bedroom with air-conditioning, a cd player, a powerful shower and a full English Breakfast in the morning. The public areas are impressive with an excellent bar and terrace. The staff are cheerful and do all they can to help you. Considering the room only rate at the grotty Premierlodge next door is ?56 I really have no idea why anyone would stay anywhere else in Birmingham. Highly recommended!

Stayed here one night to see Miss Saigon. Staff very nice and the room was ready on arrival early pm. The room was lovely and cleanliness was excellent. Did not eat here but the restaurant looked as good as the rest of the hotel. Parked the car in the award winning multi story next door without any problems and its location in the newly developed Bridley Place could not be better.

Very good indeed considering the price. But do be aware that rooms don't necessarily have a bath. It didn't bother me, but if you are desperate for a soak then you might want to reconsider. The location is very good, the service in the bar and restaurant were excellent and the room was very nice. No complaints at all - we would use it again with no problems.

Have just returned from a weekend spent at this great hotel in Birmingham. We arrived in Birmingham early on the Saturday, (09:30), and we were allowed to check in straight away. The hotel is located in an area called Brindley Place which is jammed packed with bars, restaurants and entertainment. The excellent shopping facilities of Birmingham are located about a 10 minute walk away. The hotel is very modern in design. The rooms are bright with floor to ceiling windows, modern furniture and the usual amenities. A nice touch is the 'goodie box' containing Doritos, Dairy Milk and Celebrations. This would be good for a midnight feast. My only complaint about the room was the size of the bathroom; it was tiny and did not contain a bath - although the toiletries were nice. The hotel bar is really nice with a good selection of cocktails and really squashy sofas to chill out in. We had breakfast in bed which was delivered right on time. It was fab and absolutely massive. Bacon, eggs, sausages, tomatoes, croissants, pain au chocolate, the most fabulous almond croissants and hot chocolate. Yum! Altogether a really nice stay/ hotel and a bargain at ?85 per night including beakfast and VAT!

Overall this hotel was of a very high standard. The room we had was very spacious, clean and modern. The staff were friendly and the location (5mins from Broad Street) was excellent. The price I managed to get was an amazing price of ?37.50 per person for a weekend night. I would certainly stay here again.

We stayed here the Sunday of the second bank holiday weekend (2004). The hotel is very nice and if you are not a fan of chintzy, traditional hotels this is the place to stay. It has very modern fittings and decoration and the shower / bathroom was great, also nice touches like a CD player and funky tolietries etc. The room we stayed in was not enormous but I would rather sacrifice space and have such nice furnishings and fittings. IT had effective aircon (which was nice as it was dead hot). The precinct it is in looks like some really new re-development around a canal and there are coffee shops and bars/restaurants are very close at hand. Parking was close but the advertised "discount" you get is not that great so bank on forking out a bit but hey, this is central parking in a biggish city after all. The girl at the front desk was very, very friendly and apart from a requested ironing board being a bit long in coming (although not unreasonably so, and being Pride weekend I think they were fully booked and probably very busy) from room service, service was great. We didn't eat at the hotel but the food options looked good. They do a deal on Sunday nights and we paid only ?55 for a double which is absolutely a bargain for such a high quality hotel. Whilst I wouldn't choose this hotel for a very special ocassion, it was brilliant for a quick visit to see friends and I imagine would be really handy for business trips. We definately would stay here again.
