Huge and very conveniently located
We spent two nights at Chalet Oberland as part of a one-month tour through Switzerland. The hotel is very much convenient to the Interlaken train station - about a five minute walk. The hotel itself consists of an older original building, with a small lobby and a traditional attached restaurant. There is a second, very modern building housed across. The staff was multilingual, very helpful and efficient while check-in and check-out. The room was standard, average-sized with a small balcony overlooking the street. Besides, it was nicely furnished with two beds, a desk, a nice-sized closet, safe, coffee-making equipment and a clean functional bathroom. The breakfast buffet was tasty including hot items. There are other dining facilities within the hotel’s property that were very nice, but alternatively, there are nice dining places nearby. All in all, Best Western Chalet Oberland is a very conveniently located hotel, huge but very clean and standard. |

Its Very Good
Myself, my wife and my 10 months old daughter stayed there. I must say that the stay was very very comfortable. The hospitality was also vey good.
I do not mind going there again.

July 2004 - we stopped in interlaken for the night and stayed two. Nothing in this area is cheap, but they neg a 150sf rate which was reasonable. Its a wonderful location and a generally good place. Ask to be put in the new building across the street.... |

We stayed here in April 2004. The hotel is very well located and reasonable. There were 5 of us and all of our rooms were more than adaquete. The breakfast was wonderful although we had to beat the rush of tour groups. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Wonderful place. |

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay and felt that the price was very reasonable. The rooms were very clean and ample. The Italian restaurant at the hotel was very good (and we spent a week in Italy on our trip). The breakfast was spectacular by European standards. The staff spoke multiple languages and all were fluent in English. The staff was able to get us set up for skiing on short notice and had great recommendations for restaurants and bars in Interlaken. While there are more posh hotels in Interlaken if you are willing to spend the money, I would, without hesitation, recommend this hotel to someone as a very nice hotel for a reasonable price. |

My sister and I stayed here in December 2003. Great value for the money. Complete breakfest, unusual on our trip in Switzerland. We were offered a room in the new building. View was of an alley below. We asked to be moved. They moved us to the old building and room was smaller but so much better. It was what we were in Europe for. We had 2 huge windows that faced with main street with a balcony and the other window faced the side street with a pefect view of the Alps. We were there during a Christmas festival which took place just outside of the hotel. The resturant was wonderful and we ate there 2 nights. I would recommend this hotel and would stay there again. Central location, alittle over a block to the train station. |
