We were thrilled to get this hotel at a reduced gtahotels rate. The location is ideal. The breakfast buffet is excellent. The staff are mostly good.
People who expect an American-quality hotel room will likely be disappointed. The bathroom is small. However, the shower is quite usable, although the rest of the bathroom will get wet. So don't leave towels and toiletries in the bathroom while showering. The closet is musty and small, and there is no other storage space. If I had paid full price, I would likely have been upset.
Nevertheless, this was an excellent experience and I would love to stay here again. I wish I was back! |

I honestly cant see why this hotel has got so many bad reviews on this site. I had booked the hotel before reading the reviews and was expecting the worst.
we got to the hotel and the staff were extremely nice and friendly to us, then came the room. The room was lovely and comfortable, it was spacious enough for me and I'm 6ft 5. The Room was not "disgusting", far from it and the bed linnen was not "dirty" all was to a high standard.
and as for the clock, the room was double-glased and you could barely hear it.
Take no notice of the other reviews on this site, mine is an honest one and I do have high standards.

One of the original Hotels in Copenhagen.My Nephew and I had the pleasure of staying for a week in May 04. We had a super time,assisted always by friendly and helpful staff who we found reflected the beautiful nature of the Danes. It's not just a job to them, they really are friendly. The room was older and wouldn't suffer if refurbished, but many of the rooms in the hotel had been recently given a make over and I think it would only be a matter of time before all are done. I have spent years staying in Hotels all over the place and it is always harder in other countries. Why, Well because I compare everything to the high standards expected in the hotels in the UK. However, I fell in love with Denmark and enjoyed my experience of truly Scandinavian hospitality.
If booking through websites, great offers are available and even the staff advise you book via the web, in order to obtain the better rates. Value for money, Yes. Clean and respectable, Yes. Breakfast, Plentiful and tasty. Staff, superb. Location, fantastic. ....and finally , The Rooms, Super for the purpose...after all who goes to Denmark to spend all day in their hotel room, get out and enjoy this beautiful country. You will not regret it. |
