This rustic farmhouse which has been converted into a hotel, the Cornucopia Hotel, sits on the outskirts of the tranquil village of Xaghra on the island of Gozo. The hotel is close by to the sea, while the with an approximate journey time to Gozo of 45 minutes.
Ideally situated in Xaghra the Cornucopia Hotel is set amidst this picturesque village which is rich in the historical heritage of Malta and has plenty to offer to its visitors. The Ggantija Temples, 2km away from the hotel, are said to be the oldest free-standing structures in the world and the 18th century windmill in the town is a popular attraction among visitors.
Surrounded by the beautiful surroundings of Gozo`s oldest village at the edge of the village on the other side from the hotel one can find Calypso Cave, the home of the nymph Calypso, mentioned in Homer`s Odyssey. A unique museum that one should not miss is the 'Pomskizillious' Museum of Toys, just 3km from the hotel where a display of antique collectors' toys is exhibited. |

* Cornucopia Hotel has two seawater swimming pools, a spa tub and a children’s pool set amongst the pretty gardens and terraces. Poolside barbeques are held twice a week in the summer and guests are entertained with live music. In winter there is a carvery buffet every Friday night. The lounge is decorated in traditional rustic style with stone arches, tiled floors, local artefacts and antique furnishings. Other amenities include a boutique and souvenir shop, hair salon and games room.
