conveniently located
Last summer I stayed at Corus for a couple of days. The hotel has a perfect location it is near the city center and Paddington Station. It is also close to the major attractions of London. Rooms are simple, a bit small but very clean. I slept comfortably. Staff is cordial. Breakfast is good.

Ideal place to stay in London...
We stayed at Corus Hotel Hyde Park in April this year and we really enjoyed our stay there. To begin with, the hotel has an excellent location overlooking the Hyde Park. It is a decent, safe area that as a group of four girls we didn't have any problems or trouble during our 5 days stay there. The hotel enables you easily access to the major attractions in London, it is walking distance from Peddington underground station. The two double rooms we booked were small but I personally have no complaints about it as the clean living area, comfortable beds and good bathroom facilities made up for this downside. We found everything we needed at this hotel. The hotel's restaurant/bar was a nice place and the friendly staff was very professional and devoted. We had an excellent stay at Corus Hotel Hyde Park, and would recommend it if you are looking for a good and central place to stay in London.

Good hotel without AC
I stayed at the Corus Hyde Park hotel for an extended weekend trip with my wife. The location of the hotel is close to perfect. Very near to Lancaster Gate tube station on Central Line that in a few minutes will bring you to Oxford Circus which is in the heart of London. The hotel itself is pretty decent for a short stay. I found the staff in the reception to be courteous and efficient and the lobby/bar area to be quite well. The breakfast was satisfying. The only downside of Corus Hotel Hyde Park is that there are no ACs and eventhough the fan is provided AC would be much appreciated.

I have chosen to book a room at Corus Hotel Hyde Park due to it central location. The hotel is on the block next to Lancaster Gate underground station so litterally 1 minute walk from there. The hotel's entrance is perfectly acceptable and gives a good impression of the hotel. It is clean, modern and stylish. On the ground floor there is a concierge service, reception, bar, lounge and restaurant. Room are generally small, but very well maintained and styled. Tea and coffee facilities are provided in the room. There is a fan mounted to the ceiling as they don't have air conditioning. Breakfast of various types was offered and I found it very nice. I found the hotel modern, clean, stylish and worth the money. The staff would endeavour to acheive any request you made and the concierge service splendid. I would reccomend Corus Hyde Park hotel to people who are looking for a place to stay whilst on a short trip for business or pleasure to central London.

Visited the Corus Hyde Park Hotel week of March 7-13, 2004 with my son during his Spring Break. Booked it through Virgin Vacations; absolutely great experience; no problems. Front desk was very helpful and gave us a courtesy upgrade to an executive corner room overlooking Bayswater Road and Hyde Park. The room was recently renovated and had a great view and had all the amenities we needed after touring London all day. Although the bathroom was small, it had a great shower and fluffy towels and was very clean and modern. The location was difficult to get to from Heathrow via the Tube since it involved two transfers; but after arriving, traveling by Tube was very easy with Lancaster Tube station just a block away. Continental breakfast was adequate and they have a very pleasant room to sit in. In fact, I liked it better than the upgraded breakfast which we had one morning. Lobby area was always very friendly and had lots of activity. The one time I had a question for the concierge, he wasn't very helpful. Luckily, I had already done my research and didn't need to ask questions. Our maid service was excellent and the room was kept clean and tidy all week. I would definitely stay at the Corus Hyde Park Hotel again.

We stayed for a week at the Corus hotel Hyde Park (formerly Plaza on Hyde Park). Hotel renovations seem to be nearing completion. Able to get an upgrade to a non-smoking renovated room at no charge. Construction crews still working on several floors - so expect noise to begin at 8:30 and run thru 5:30p. Rooms are small, clean, all new carpet, fully tiled bathroom, comfortable bed, modern accents, simple design (white). Service was great, staff helpful including concierge service. Location is across street from Kensignton/Hyde Park, a block from Lancaster Gate tube, and a 10-minute walk to Notting Hill area. Guests during the week: business + traveler. Guests on weekends: heavily skews to school kid tour groups.

I stayed with my two daughters ages 12 and 15 at the Corus for 6 days. I was told that the room would nt be air-conditioned but it was and it was great. The room was an excellent size but we did have a problem finding place to store our clothes so some of them remained in the suitcase which bothered us. In general we had a good experience at the hotel. No complaints. Everything was clean and the Concierge was very helpful when we needed advice how to travel. In truth, I may not stay there again - instead, might find something a bit more central with more underground line access(although waking up and seeing Hyde Park every morning was lovely).

Just returned from London where I stayed at the Corus Hyde Park. Location is just north of Hyde Park, 1 block west of Lancaster Gate Tube (Central Line only), 3 blocks east of Queensway. It was only a 10 minute walk to Paddington Station where we could get Central, District, Circle, Bakerloo tube lines to anywhere in town. Best thing about the hotel was the air conditioning. London can be very hot in the summer and the a/c was much appreciated after a long day. The continental breakfast provided was very basic: croissants, hard rolls, and cold cereal. For a few pounds more, you could have a full English breakfast but we never did. The hotel lobby is very nice, lots of seating and places to hold a quick meeting, if needed. The bar was small but fully stocked. Rooms varied quite a bit. My single room was small, one of the triple rooms was enormous, the double rooms were also on the small side. All rooms were clean and housekeeping was friendly and helpful. The hotel would, of course, exchange currency but had a rather high fee. There was a no-commission currency exchange half a block from the front of the hotel. The Swan pub was just behind the hotel, there were plenty of restaurants near the hotel, including the Concordia Italian Restaurant (very good). Having Hyde Park just across the street was nice and made it possible for those interested in (additional) exercise to run each morning. I'm not sure I would stay there again, not because there was anything wrong with the hotel, I just prefer different areas of town.

We had some offer through Legal and General to stay in Corus 2 nights and pay for one. The hotel is one excellent place, very near tubes but is not too far for walking through Hyde park and St James park to Big Ben. They offer chipper parking. They gave us one very small room and on the end put us in the basement without lift. The room was big with sofa for our girl and they provide us with cot bed for baby. Nothing was special but nice. Just one thing put me of. The high chair was always dirty! We had one meal there and porcion was very big and nice. Breakfast was standard. It was worth of money, two for one night...
