Coul House Hotel is the perfect place to rediscover the romance and beauty of the Highlands, certainly a destination where one should plan on staying for more than just a couple of nights.
The ancient Mackenzies of Coul picked the supreme setting for this secluded country mansion, with its magnificent uninterrupted views over forest and mountain. This is a family-run hotel offering high standards of personal service with a warm highland welcome. The bedrooms are individually-styled, comfortable and well-equipped.
Coul House belongs to category A listed building, meaning that it is historically significant architecturally. Glance at any of the ground floor ceilings and there it can bee seen why it is included on the primary list buildings because of its ornate plasterwork and fine craftsmanship the house is truly unique.
LOCATION
The Coul House Hotel is approximately 20 miles from Inverness. Brodie Castle is located 4.5 miles west of Forres and 24 miles east of Inverness on the east coast of Scotland.
Directions:
∙ From Inverness follow the A9 north over the Kessock Bridge
∙ At the Tore roundabout take the second left (sign-posted Dingwall and Ullapool A835)
∙ At the next roundabout again take the second left to stay on the A835 (sign-posted to Ullapool).
∙ The next village is Contin, about 6 miles from the roundabout
∙ Once in Contin, the entrance to our driveway is the third right (approximately 200 yards) after the petrol station.
∙ The hotel is located up the hill at the end of the half-mile gravel driveway. Please do not be put off by the potholes and ruts that appear occasionally throughout the year after heavy rain. Unfortunately, the driveway is a constant source of maintenance, which we do our best to keep up with.

* Restaurant, offers an a la carte menu with individually priced dishes allows each guests to eat as much or as little as they want. The restaurant were also able to offer fresh west coast lobsters and scallops from Dingwall based Keltic Seafare.
* Bar, offers a good variety of wines both from the new world producers and some of the old classics, so they will surely have that distinct wine that will suit any mood and palate.
* There is a Children's Playground and a Mini Golf available at the hotel.
* Conference/Meeting and Events, there are 3 available meeting rooms at the hotel that can be transformed into different types of layouts depending upon the request. They layouts that can be requested are Boardroom style to Class-room to U-shape or conference.
* Other Hotel Facilities includes Newspapers, Garden, Terrace, Non-Smoking Rooms, Rooms/Facilities for Disabled Guests, Express Check-In/Check-Out, Safety Deposit Box, Heating, Luggage Storage, All Public and Private spaces non-smoking.
