Firstly, the location. For tourists, a hotel in East Berlin might be more convenient, but if you want a West Berlin base, this is a great choice. Rooms are comfortable, with modern decor and bathrooms. Great swimming pool and health club facilities. Service is second to none.
Probably more geared to the business traveller, but the leisure traveller should also enjoy!

I stayed for three nights this Spring at the Crowne Plaza. Modern, well-located hotel which is up to American standards. Large, clean rooms. A single person stays in a double room, not a European broom closet as is often assigned to one guest. Right off the Kudam, convienient to public transport, shopping and sights. Would stay again in a second and recommend to anyone.

This hotel has an unbeatable location for sightseeing in this vast city. The Zoo Station transport hub is just round the corner and two other U-bahn stops are very near, also the Kurfurstendamm is just minutes away, yet this hotel is in a street which is amazingly quiet compared to those adjacent. Reception staff excellent and all wore badges to indicate which languages they spoke. Rooms spacious, bathroom even more so, and very adequate without being stunning. Buffet breakfast pricey but good. Only real gripes were that the safe-deposit box system was fiddly and that the towels could have been changed more often for a hotel of that class.
