Modern and clean
Custom House Hotel is the best and most affordable business hotel in London for me! I was there last July to attend a conference at the ExCel Centre in Docklands which is located just across the hotel. Custom House has a nice modern design and very clean too. I really don’t like extravagant designs because it makes me feel uneasy. I can just slouch at the couch of the hotel’s lobby and work on my laptop without worrying about what other people would say. The room has bright colors giving that lively atmosphere and has more than the basic amenities that a business traveler need. They have interactive satellite TV and also HD movies for late night viewing! Plus high speed internet so I there’s no need for me to go out and find an internet café to work. My boss also asked me to check out the hotel for conference rooms because he is planning to go back there with me to meet up with some prospective clients. There is a boardroom which is perfect for formal meetings and a trendy Silver Bar and Restaurant for a more casual meeting. I really prefer the second venue and my boss actually agreed with me so I will be going back there maybe late this year. For a 3-star hotel, it really has great choices in dining so I didn’t eat same cuisine for 3 days. My fave was the Custom House Pub & Kitchen because of the homey atmosphere and delicious coffee paired with my fave croissant.

Good value, far from city centre
Very good hotel, transportation right next it, breakfast and room are good, great service. Far from city centre and major attractions, really close to London City airport

Impressed
Just spent a night at this hotel with friends to attend a concert at the O2. Clean and tidy, excellent staff, friendly and helpful, would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to my friends.

nice hotel
Custom House Hotel is conveniently located. It is easily accessible. I stayed at this hotel when I went to see my friend. The hotel has a warm atmosphere. Staff is friendly. Simple breakfast is OK. Rooms are simply decorated. Foods are good. I would stay again at this simple lovely hotel

Very close to exhibition center...
I stayed at this hotel in March 2007. I chose to stay at this hotel because of its location close to Excel exhibition center. The hotel is also close to the the London City airport
I arrived at the hotel quite early and i had no problems during the check in. The receptionist was so nice and friendly. The room was small but it had everything i needed. The hotel restaurant had a rich menu and the prices were reasonable.
Custom House Hotel is ideal if you have business at Excel exhibition center. Very convenient!

Excellent value for money
I just got back from Custom House where I have stayed for 3 nights. After acquiring some reviews from internet I didn’t know what to expect. However I was pleasantly surprised. The staff was very helpful and did go an extra mile to satisfy their customers; even housekeeping staff were always cheerful and cleaned the room on daily basis. The room itself was very clean and comfortable. Moreover, the hotel is located across the road from the DLR station with trains running approx every 10 minutes so traveling back and forth the centre was easy. Overall, I found Custom House as an excellent hotel for the value.

Good value and location
We were looking for the budget hotel close by to ExCel Centre, therefore Custom House hotel happened to be one of the best choices. Overall, we found it to be a very good value for money. The reception staff were polite and helpful. The room was small, but adequate and functional so was bathroom. But it did not create any inconvenience. Besides, the transportation links are close by so there is no problem reaching downtown and come back. All in all, Custom House Hotel is a good value for money hotel.

You get what you pay for
Custom House hotel more or less a budget type hotel with a great location, no question. The rooms were small but adequate. Breakfast was basic but plentiful. The staff was extremely polite and helpful. There was a lot of outside noise but this was not the fault of the hotel. It is ideally situated for the London Excel centre and the city airport which is why we were staying there. At Custome House Hotel you really get what you pay for.

Fantastic Experience
We have chosen to stay at Custom House Hotel, since it is situated in the heart of London Docklands, only a short distance from London City Airport, ExCeL Centre, Canary Wharf, West End, theatres and Tower of London. However we weren't very pleased after reading some reviews, however on the spot we were pleasantly surprised. The staff at the front desk were very friendly and professionally handled our check in. The room that we stayed in was very clean and tidy, eventhough the bathroom was a bit small but spotless with clean towels. The breakfast offered a wide variety to choose from. Overall, our three nights at Custom House Hotel went fantastic. For the goods and services at a very good value offered by Custom House Hotel are truely worth it.

Convenient Location, adequate accommodation facilities for a very nice value
Having read reviews about Custome House Hotel, I was a bit uncertain about what to expect from the hotel. The hotel is located across the road from the DLR station with trains running very frequently so travelling back and forth from and to the centre was easy.
I stayed in a superior room, which I felt was a good value for money. The room was clean, the beds comfortable, tea and coffee facilities and a TV included were adequate.
I'd definitely recommend Custom House Hotel for the once who are looking for the convenient location and adequate accommodation facilities for a very nice value.
