What a gem! Just yards away from the Duomo and central Milan, this hotel makes the trip a pleasure. The rooms are comfortable and well appointed. rates are reasonable. Location fabulous. Taxi drivers know where it is - which is often not the case with other hotels.
The staff was friendly and helpful. They offered to purchase train tickets for us, etc. There is an excellent travel agency steps away, as well as an international bookstore. The bar/lounge area offers free Internet, great coffee and drinks, and English newspapers.
This is a hotel to return to many times. |

We stayed at the Hotel de la Ville on our last few trips to Milan. I have been recommending it ever since. It is clsoe to the Duomo, the Galleria, Rinascente, Il Palazzo Reale and La Scala and several outstanding restaurants. The staff is friendly, courteous and helpful.
The rooms are very attractively appointed - there are even no smoking rooms available. One of our rooms its own terrace which overlooked the top of the Galleria. The bathrooms are very modern with great water pressure-perfect for a long hot shower or bath at the end of a day of sightseeing, shopping or conferences. The restaurant is very good although we only ate there once because there are so many wonderful restaurants in Milan.. |

We moved from the awful Milan Marriott here and spent 2 wonderful nights at this hotel. The location is great, breakfast is nice, the rooms are beautiful, and the rooftop pool is gorgeous. Definitely stay here! |

Stayed here, for 3 nights from 28 December, after reading reviews on gtahotels. Room brightly decorated and extremely clean - great touch with chocolates left in your room at night. All staff very friendly and nothing was too much trouble - needed assistance with car hire, directions etc. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Milan - a great location, near to the Duomo, La Scala & shopping areas.

We were very pleased to stay at Hotel de la Ville in Milano center. The hotel staff was helpful and friendly. Our room was clean, beds were comfortable and the breakfast was delicious including youghurt, good bread, fruits, bacon, eggs, cheese, salami, ham.....and the coffee was great.
The hotel has an excellent situation,only a couple of minutes to Duomo, Opera and the department store Rinascente was almost behind the corner.
If I come back to Milano I will certainly stay at hotel de la Ville. |

Perfectly located a quick stroll from the Duomo and main shopping streets of the city, the Hotel de la Ville provides attentive service and perfectly maintained rooms. Each room has extensively sound and lightproofed windows and walls for a great night of rest for jetlagged visitors. Although small, our room was nicely decorated, spotless and at the hall end as I requested. Staff were helpful with arranging reservations and services and this was the only hotel during our month's stay in Italy that could make a good espresso coffee at breakfast (suprising!). Our only disappointment was that the rooftop pool was closed during our stay, but it looked lovely. |

Great location, good breakfast, beds ok, views of office building walls, small but pleasant pool, small rooms -- overall ok and would stay again for the location. But it does not have the warmth or charm of many hotels of comparable price in Italy. For a short stay I would recommend but if longer than a day or two, I would look for somewhere with more "personality." |

I just stayed at the Hotel de la Ville and I have mixed feelings about it . The location is perfect and the hotel is beautiful ,charming and very elegant with courteous and professional staff . The room was very charming too with nice linen and italian great furniture . Howver we were disappointed by the very average breakfast with poor choice ,no fruits (!) and bad croissants and bread . Other disappoint for the old unconforatble mattress I slept ; it is amazing that such great hotel does not do a little more to improve breakfast and buy new mattresses .Would I come back ? I do not know . |

We only stayed in Milan for one night, but are very glad we made the choice to stay at the Hotel de la Ville. Rooms are nicely done with clean, spacious bathrooms. Staff was helpful in making restaurant and transportation arrangements. Above all, the location is superb - right between the Duomo and all the great shopping streets. Would definitely stay here again on a future Milan trip. |
