The romantic Wienerwald and the famous tavern "Grinzing" are only minutes away. The tram stops nearby the hotel and takes the guest within 15 minutes to the pulsating "Ersten Bezirk" (first district).
Vienna International Airport (VIE): Approximate driving time is 30 minutes and distance is 30 kilometres (19 miles).
Getting there: A non-stop express train (CAT) departs from the airport to the City Air Terminal every 30 minutes. The journey takes 16 minutes and a single ticket is €9. The S-7 S-Bahn suburban train also connect the airport to Vienna city centre and various U-Bahn (underground) stations. A single ticket costs €6. Alternatively, buses are available to the city centre, Südbahnhof and Westbahnhof railway stations, Bratislava and Budapest. Taxis cost around €30 to the city centre. All prices subject to change.
Getting around: Much of the centre of Vienna can be easily explored on foot. Vienna has an extensive integrated public transport network of U-Bahn and S-Bahn trains, buses and trams. The system is inexpensive, efficient and reliable. Taxis are expensive and can be hailed in the street. |
