Hotel Derby is a comfortable 4-star hotel, built in a traditional Swiss style. It is well situated in the heart of Grindewald, perfectly located for excursions to the Jungfraujoch and other world-famous mountains.
Most of the hotel's rooms have balconies and have been decorated traditionally with comfortable furniture and furnishings. On average they are medium sized and in good condition, as are the bathrooms. The rooms have quite a homely look to them because of their style.
The hotel has an a la carte restaurant which has a spectacular ornate pine ceiling, is furnished with pine furniture and overlooks the eiger. In addition, the "Gastube", which incorporates a small bar, provides a more informal setting for guests to dine in. |

A very pleasant hotel with very friendly staff. Sizeable room, with a living room area. Ideal for the station, but don't let this put you off as there is little noise from the trains. Close to shops and restaurants and about 8 minutes from the First cable car....
