A very pleasant hotel with very friendly staff. Sizeable room, with a living room area. Ideal for the station, but don't let this put you off as there is little noise from the trains. Close to shops and restaurants and about 8 minutes from the First cable car. We had a view to the rear of the hotel which was quiet, but I guess the best views are to the front. Small and fairly non-descript bar. Good restaurant with excellent Fondue. Will definately return.

I stay with the Family Markle for a week on a yearly basis. They strive and succede to make your stay a five star memory in a "three star" establishment. The chef is excellent and you must tear yourself away to sample other restaurants. The staff is the most helpful, friendly and efficient I have encountered. The south facing rooms have views onto the Eiger, Schrekhorn and lower Grindelwald valley. They are not to be believed. The rooms are extremely clean and very nicely decorated. The silent electric trains stop within feet of the hotel. The only negative....the elevator is slow.

A great hotel, fantastic views, family owned, welcoming staff, restaurant superb for dinner and a great breakfast too.Right on the station, so no excuse for missing the trains !!.
