4 night stay in March 2009
have just rerurned after a 4 night saty at the Derby have to say excellent Hotel From reception staff to cleaning and catering the service was brilliant. Always a friendly smile, breakfast on offer great fresh fruit pastries toast cooked or cold meats easy to 4 star standard. I travelled with 2 friends and we travel every March to a spainish city. Location perfect for all tourist attractions and cafes/restaurants/bars. Roof top space were we relaxed after a long day visiting tourist attractions before going out to eat.Well done to the staff they need a big pat on the back.Margaret Cornwaall

Excellent budget hotel in an ideal location
I should note that Derby Hotel is not Ritz but it’s a very nice budget hotel and a perfect tourist base where I have stayed for 5 nights. Situated in a busy little square with El Corte Ingles and taxi rank opposite, Derby Hotel is an ideal spot for all Seville attractions. All within an easy 15 min walk. For the price paid the room was absolutely adequately sized, spotlessly clean and comfortable enough so was the bathroom. The service in general was fine, as reception staff was always nice and friendly, and the staff in breakfast area as well as housekeeping ladies were all helpful and courteous. The breakfast was basic, yet adequate enough. For an alternative there are various cafes around.
Overall, for the price/value ratio, Derby Hotel was absolutely well worth it. I would strongly recommend Derby Hotel for a tourist on budget firstly, yet for a great service and nice accommodation but primarily for the best location to explore Seville from.
