Thoroughly enjoyed our second stay as well
This was our second stay at hotel des Balances. We returned to celebrate our anniversary day in Lucerne. The experience again was fantastic. We just love this hotel! Des Balances Hotel located a stone's throw away from the old town and sights such as the Kappelbrücke and the Jesuitenkirche. It takes about 10 minutes to walk from the station.
We stayed in a newly renovated room with a stunning view to Reuss river and the Chapel bridge and a small balcony. It was fantastic so sit outside and watch the city.
The bathroom is very clean and spacious with all the necessary amenities.
The restaurant has also been newly renovated and offers one of the best cuisine of its kind. We enjoyed both dinners there. The wine list is excellent and also offers high quality wines by the glass at fair prices.
Hotel des Balances has certainly the most charming old-town hotel in Lucerne. We already miss it and will definitely return!

Lovely hotel beautifully situated.
Lovely hotel with very helpful staff.
Only negative was that their restaurant has been closed since the floods last August and is still out of action. Breakfast, including hot dishes still available though
