A budget place to stay while in San Juan
Despite all other negative reviews on Diamond Palace Hotel & Casino, we have booked a standard double room for 5 nights. And for the price we paid we could predict what to expect. And it turned out to be exactly what it worth.
We were quite convenient with the position of the hotel - San Juan is about 2 miles away. The hotel is in the up-market part of San Juan called the 'Condado'. Sleek, close to the beach with lots of places to eat and posh boutiques.
As for the hotel, the hotel’s personnel were all friendly and smiley, the rooms were adequate and clean, the continental breakfast was offered and was fine as well. The casino is as standard as most Caribbean casino's get. There was some entertainments like live music on weekends. Overall, the hotel completely lives up to its 3 star rating, especially considering the deal we received.
So all in all, Diamond Palace Hotel & Casino does worth the value you pay, it’s not Ritz or Sheraton, but it’s a standard 3 star hotel, that is well worth the value. For a budget place while on a holiday in San Juan, I would personally stay at Diamond Palace Hotel & Casino with no hesitations. |
