First class location, first class staff in reception, restaurant, bars etc. Room very clean and looked after by excellent staff. Bathroom clean, looks new, kept well stocked with towels etc. All in all a hotel that I could recommend to friends and know that they wouldn't be disappointed. Go back soon I hope.

for the price, this is the place to stay in amsterdam. we found that taxis were completely useless in this town from the location unless traveling to the museum district. the hotel was awesome, sweet location in dam square, the breakfast was pretty good for 12 euro, basic bacon eggs and everything else expected, with wonderful orange juice. it was so refreshing to arrive and have a nice welcome and a room key all ready for me to go. the location is very close to the redlight district, all of the coffea shops, beautiful canals and 5 minute walk from the train station, this place receives my highest regards, stay here

Stayed here overnight before catching Amtrak train to San Francisco. The hotel is in a beautiful building with very comfortable rooms, helpful staff and well located. Chicago was definitely one of the highlights of our US trip. Stunning architecture & great weather. Would love to spend more time there.

I booked this hotel at a great discount through an online website.
It was a 4 star hotel.
You are right in the center if amsterdam, and a step outside the doors is a tram line. You can easily walk, or use transportation.
The rooms were very nice as well. Clean, and nice washrooms.
If you can get a good rate on this hotel, I'd book it.
Note, the pub downstairs is beautiful, with lots of old dark wood and great decoration.
I rated this hotel as 'ok' because they don't seem to care so much about their guests. Maybe they are too big.
It's that feeling you get that no one really cares that makes the difference to me. That's the reason for my rating.
I'd only recommend this hotel if you could get a discount rate .
There is a lift as we as a very nice upscale restaurant.
Again, it's all about location.
